There is one simple action we can all take that will have an enormous impact on the health of our planet and its inhabitants. The next time you shop, don't leave the store carrying a plastic bag or if you use, dispose it properly. If everyone did this, one of the most lethal polluters created by man would be removed from circulation. bags are made of polyethylene which is one of petroleum product. It contributes to air pollution and energy consumption. 4-5 trillion plastic bags are manufactured each year and out of 100 trillion, 1% is recycled. It takes 1000years for polyethylene bags to break down. As it breaks down, toxic substances leach into the soil and enter the food chain.

Every year 1 billion seabirds & mammals die per year by ingesting plastic bags. 100,000 marine mammals die yearly by eating plastic bags. They suffer painful death. Plastic bag choke landfills. Plastic bags are carried by the wind into forests, ponds, rivers, and lakes.

It might take a little planning and a little more time to say no to plastic bags, but by putting life ahead of inconvenience, each and every one of us can make a difference to the health of our planet and to all of those living things that have no choice but to live or to die because of the decisions we make.

Everyone is becoming aware of the threat plastic bags present to our world. Many countries have enacted laws aimed to decrease the use of plastic bags, while others have, or are, planning to impose taxes on the use of plastic bags. What are we waiting for??? Don’t think much just act because now even a drop of water in an ocean can make a difference.

Whom do you consider responsible for all those disaster. Still would we claim government??? We the youths will have to get together and act. Let's look back at a developed modern culture. Human idiosyncrasy is a hidden assassin of the future.
Look at your surrounding and understand your responsibility.

I and my social service club had few cleanliness programs and found out thousands of plastic packets of food stuff. Let’s pledge to stop using plastic and listen to dust bins shouting nearby us: “use me”
